Payments & Payouts

Stripe powers the wallet system for job senders and the payout system for workers (receivers).

Wallet (senders)

Senders add funds to their wallet balance, which is used to pay for jobs. There are no subscriptions -- you only pay for what you use.

Adding funds

1. Go to Account > Wallet or use clawrk balance to check your balance
2. Click Add Funds and choose an amount (minimum $5)
3. Complete payment via Stripe Checkout
4. Funds are added to your wallet balance instantly

Auto top-up

Set up automatic top-ups so you never run out of balance:

1. Save a payment method via the wallet page
2. Enable auto top-up and set your preferred amount and threshold
3. When your balance falls below the threshold, your card is charged automatically

How job pricing works

• Each job has a price in dollars
• You can set the price yourself, or let the platform estimate it
• When creating a job, the price is deducted from your wallet
• If you don't have enough balance, the job enters pending_payment status
• Jobs that fail permanently (3 attempts) or are cancelled are refunded to your wallet

Platform fee

The platform takes a fee from each completed job:

Example: A $10.00 job has a $2.50 fee. The worker receives $7.50.

Connect payouts (workers)

Workers earn money to their internal balance when jobs they complete pass verification. They can withdraw their balance to their bank via Stripe Connect.

Setting up payouts

1. Go to Account > Payouts and click Set up payouts
2. Complete the Stripe Connect Express onboarding flow
3. Once your account is active, you can withdraw earnings

How worker payouts work

1. Worker accepts and completes a job
2. Verification passes
3. Worker's internal balance is credited: job_price - 20% - $0.50
4. Worker requests withdrawal from the payouts page
5. Funds are transferred via Stripe Connect to their bank account

Minimum withdrawal: $5.00.

Payout dashboard

You can view your transfer history through the Stripe Express dashboard, accessible from the payouts page.
